  • Well, going to a New Years party at 7:30. Well, nothing new. Well, I like to DJ and I will be ordering a shitload of new records soon. Well, well, well.

    Officially atheist regimes of history:

    USSR

    People's Republic of China

    N. Viet Nam/Viet Nam (after 1975)

    North Korea

    Cambodia

    Rumania

Nazi Germany (the Nazi party was an officially atheist party that practiced Nordic religion for the purpose of ancestral pride; Nietzche was the official philosopher of the Nazi Party and in the 25 points of the Nazi Creed it was stated that you shall have no gods before Germany).

If you look at the list of the worst regimes of the 20th century you are looking at the list of Atheist nations with addition to two Muslim nations (Afghanistan and Uganda).

If you look at the list of the most murderous regimes in history you get the aforementioned list plus the Jiminez Khan's Mongolia and Mahmoud's Punjab (polytheist and Islamic nation).

In Christian history the only organized execution for religious purposes was the Inquisition which occurred in Spain for numerous centuries; the Inquisition was responsible for the death of tens of thousands of Protestants and Jews; deaths caused by the Inquisition make up not even a six hundredth of one atheist, Josef Stalin, and not even a 30th of the very minor character Pol Pot or a tenth of the least violent atheist leader, Ho Chi Minh.

The Crusades were a war for defense of Christendom. Atheist writer Will Durant wrote in his book the Age of Faith that the six reasons for the Crusades were purely political - the reasons included:

    (1) Seljuks committing genocide on Turkish Christians.

    (2) Seljuks murdering Christian pilgrims.

    (3) Reprisal for the Berber invasion of Spain.

    (4) Primogeniture.

    (5) Inherent need for European consolidation after the schism and increasing pressure from the East.

    (6) Need for expansion of trade.
